MCTS Exam – ( 70-599 ) – Pro: Designing and Developing Windows Phone 7 Applications is in the process

Microsoft is in the process of developing the new Exam for Windows Phone 7 (70-599) , Pro: Designing and Developing Windows Phone 7 Applications

Microsoft , recently took the feedback from various experienced Microsoft Developers / Windows Phone 7 Developers for their blue print exercise .

The blue print exam helps to determine the number of questions that will be assigned for each skill of the exam .

The Exam 70-599 targets independent software vendors or developers developing Applications for the Windows Phone 7 platform.

Candidates are also expected to have some knowledge and experience of the following

  • Windows Phone 7 OS and devices
  • Microsoft Silverlight
  • C# / Microsoft Visual Basic .NET
  • Microsoft .NET Framework development
  • Mobile application design and development
  • Windows Phone Developer Tools
  • Microsoft Visual Studio Express or higher
  • Microsoft Expression Blend .

  1. Will I get any certificate if I pass this exam?

    On Microsoft site, I read:

    Credit Toward CertificationExam 70-599: Pro: Designing and Developing Windows Phone Applications: counts as credit toward the following certification(s):
    Microsoft Certified Professional Developer: Windows Phone , Developer

    I am confused, whether I will get any certificate or not?

    When you pass the exam, it will be uploaded to your Microsoft profile as with all other Microsoft exams. Microsoft can send you a certificate(you pay a fee) or allow you to download your cert for free.
