In this blog post , i will share a small tip on how to Close Metro App in Windows 8 .
I have been using Windows 8 Consumer Preview on one of the Virtual Machine and have often used the below shortcuts to close the Metro App .
First one is the traditional Windows shortcut (Alt + F4) which works in Windows 7 and now in Windows 8 Consumer Preview too .
The Other way to close the Metro App in Windows 8 is to hover the mouse to the top left corner of your screen and then drag the cursor down to see the open Metro Apps . Right Click on the Tile you wish to close and click close button .
You will also see a menu option to snap the App left or right .
How to Close Metro App in Windows 8 ?

Another easier way is to drag from the top to the bottom… Click/tab and hold at the top of the screen and then drag it to the bottom.
