Review – LG Optimus Vu

Recently, I got the opportunity to try out the new LG Optimus Vu for few days and below is a review of this cool new device from LG.

When I unboxed the device, the first question that came to my mind is “Is this a smartphone or a tablet?”. With a bigger screen size of 5 inch , the device is quite interesting.

This phone has an IPS display with a 5 inch screen with a resolution of 1024 X 768 and comes with an aspect ratio of 4:3 where the screen is wider.

The bigger screen size make it easy for the users to edit documents and read eBooks. The Phone weighs around 168g but is slim and light weight too.

The LG Optimus Vu comes with an 8 mega pixel camera in the back panel and LED flash with a LG Logo just below it and 1.3 Mega Pixel front camera.


The device is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core Processor with 1GB RAM and the internal storage of 32GB thus providing a superb performance when trying out some of the apps.

The device also supports NFC for communicating with other devices that support NFC. There are couple of NFC tags that comes along with the device where the users could use it to change the phone profile automatically using the tags.


The LG Optimus Vu is powered by Android 4.0. The UI is highly responsive, quick and fluid.

The price for LG Optimus Vu is listed for around Rs. 29,999 at Flipkart.
