Apple announces new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro

The new 13 inch MacBook Pro that was announced today is now lighter and thinner with the weight of just 3.46 pounds.

The 13 inch MacBook pro basic version comes with Retina Display, 4GB RAM and 2.4 GHz dual-core with i5 Haswell chip, Iris graphics, faster PCI Express solid-state and has a battery life of 9+ hours.

The 15 inch MacBook Pro features fourth generation Intel core i7 processor with 2.3 Ghz Turbo Boost speed up to 3.5 GHz and is configurable to GeForce GT 750M discrete graphics and faster quad-core Intel Core i7 processors up to 2.6 GHz with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8 GH with the higher version.

The new and updated MacBook Pro with Retina display is powered by Mac OS X Mavericks which is the 10th major release of the operating system from Apple.

The MacBook Pro 13-inch is available for

  • USD 1,299 – 2.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.9 GHz , 4GB of memory, 128GB of flash storage and Intel Iris graphics.
  • USD 1,499 – 2.4 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.9 GHz, 8GB of memory, 256GB of flash storage, and Intel Iris graphics.
  • USD 1,799 – 2.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, 8GB of memory, 512GB of flash storage, and Intel Iris.

The MacBook Pro 15-inch is available for

  • USD 1,999 – 2.0 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.2 GHz, 8GB of memory, 256GB of flash storage and Intel Iris Pro graphics.
  • USD 2,599 – 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.5 GHz, 16GB of memory, 512GB of flash storage, and Intel Iris Pro and NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M graphics.
