Coolpad Dazen to enter the Indian market with patented technology

Coolpad Group Limited, global leader of smartphones manufacturer and integrated wireless data solutions announced its entry into the Indian market. The company also announced the appointment of Varun Sharma as the Chief Executive Officer who will be looking after the India operations. A leader in 4G/ LTE segment, Coolpad Dazen is one of the world’s fastest growing smartphone players and also the fastest growing online brand in China. As part of its commitment to ‘Make in India’ campaign, Coolpad Dazen is soon to set up a R&D centre and manufacturing unit in India.

According to Mr. Li Wang, Global Chief Operating Officer, Coolpad Dazen, “India is the fastest growing online smartphone market in the world and we want to be a leader in this market. We are happy to appoint Varun as the Country head of our India operations who brings with him immense and diverse experience in the consumer and online industry. According to Varun Sharma, India CEO, Coolpad Dazen, “The Indian smartphone customer today has lots of choice but is still always looking for great value. We want to bring in a new wave with our patented innovation to disrupt the Indian online smartphone market. We want to build a great Indian internet company that will focus on creating benchmark devices and a great software ecosystem.” 

Prior to joining Coolpad Dazen, Varun was Director at Flipkart and led Flipkart’s strategic global partnerships. He has several years of experience in leading and building brands for P&G in India and South East Asia. Varun is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta. 

Coolpad Group globally is a holder of more than 6000 patents including dual sim, dual standby.
