hike integrates Hoppr and Tiny Mogul under brand hike

hike messenger, one of India’s fastest growing Internet companies, today announced the integration of Hoppr & Tiny Mogul Games (TMG) under the brand hike.

In the last year itself, Tiny Mogul Games amassed 5 Million downloads including hit games like Shiva: The Time Bender, the first Indian game to be featured by Google Play globally and with the integration, users can expect hike to bring such high quality gaming to the platform, with the aim of building hike into a service that goes beyond simple messaging.

In addition to games, the integration will bring coupons from a host of 200 brands to hike.

He further adds, “By the end of the year we’ll truly see hike, India’s first messaging application emerge as the platform that will bring India online in a big way. We’re just getting started”.

As per the recent industry reports (Ericsson Mobility report and Quettra) hike is the biggest made in India app by active usage. The messenger is India’s first and only home grown messaging app (Made in India) and is extremely localized to the needs of the Indian market with over 35 million users sending 10 billion messages per month.

Hoppr was launched in 2012 as a location based check-in service that works across all mobile devices, with the aim to build the hyper local commerce ecosystem in India, wherein consumers get to explore rewards and offers available with brands and merchants in their vicinity.

Tiny Mogul Games was set up in 2013 and has been operational for over two years which launched more than twelve games for Android including Shiva: The Time Bender, which was one of the first Indian games to be featured by Google Play globally, and Dadi vs Jellies, which won the Game of the Year award at the Nasscom Game Developer Conference in 2014.

Launched in December 2012, hike has over 35M users and has raised $86M from Tiger Global and BSB till date. The app has young user base with over 90% of its users being under the age of 25 and residing in India. The messaging app has localized features, which are developed keeping in mind the infrastructural and cultural requirements such as Regional Stickers – helps users express more in their own language, hike Offline – lets you message your friends even when they’re offline, Hidden Mode– allows users to hide their private chats with a password, Heavy File Transfer – allows you to send files of any type and up to size of 100 MB, News – helps users to get news updates.
