Highest capacity ever trans-atlantic cable to be built by Facebook and Microsoft

Microsoft in its Server and Cloud blog mentioned that they are partnering with Facebook to build one of the highest capacity ever trans-atlantic cable with a speed of nearlt 160 Tbps this year.

Frank Rey, Director, Global Network Acquisition, Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure and Operations in the blog mentioned that

“In order to better serve our customers and provide the type of reliable and low-latency connectivity they deserve, we are continuing to invest in new and innovative ways to continuously upgrade both the Microsoft Cloud and the global Internet infrastructure,”. “This marks an important new step in building the next generation infrastructure of the Internet.”
