Virtual Class – Building Applications for Windows Phone Mango Jump Start on Aug 23-24 , 2011

Microsoft’s MVP Rob Miles and Andy Wigley are again hosting Windows Phone Mango Jump Start on August 23 and 24 from 8 am – 5 pm for developers looking to build Mobile Applictaions targeting Windows Phone Mango Platform .

Rob Miles is a Microsoft MVP & Lecturer in University of Hull, UK and Andy Wigley is a Microsoft MVP and co-founder of the UK-based mobile consultancy firm called Appa Mundi .

The Duration of the virtual class is 8 hours each day including one hour lunch break .

Day one ( Aug 23 , 2011 ) focusses on the following topics

  • Building Windows Phone Apps with Visual Studio 2010
  • Silverlight on Windows Phone – Introduction
  • Silverlight on Windows Phone – Advanced
  • Using Expression to Build Windows Phone Interfaces
  • Windows Phone Fast Application Switching
  • Windows Phone Multi-tasking & Background Tasks
  • Using Windows Phone Resources (Bing Maps, Camera, ect.)

Day Two ( Aug 24 , 2011 ) focusses on the following topics

  • Application Data Storage on Windows Phone
  • Using Networks with Windows Phone
  • Windows Azure and Windows Phone
  • Notifications on Windows Phone
  • XNA for Windows Phone
  • Selling a Windows Phone Application

What is windows phone 7 ?

Windows Phone 7 is the mobile operating system from Microsoft aimed at consumers . The  update for Windows Phone 7 called Mango is expected during fall 2011 .

Microsoft has already released the Windows Phone SDK for Mango Beta and also the Beta build of the OS to the Windows Phone Developers .
