Yahoo! Open Hack India 2011 in Bangalore announced

The Yahoo Developer Network has announced the 4th version of the Open Hack Event in India .

This edition of the Yahoo Open Hack will again be held in Bangalore on 30th and 31st July 2011 . ( The venue is not yet finalised , check the event site for the venue details ) .

Interestingly this is also the 15th Global Open Hack Event from Yahoo .

I was a participant in all the previous editions of the Open Hack which was huge success where many developers and students across the country participated .

I am already geared up for this year event too .
Dont think Hacking is like crack a machine / password etc … Its all about doing things interestingly which sometimes it is not supposed to do so too .

The event will begin with series of presentations from well known personalities and then enters the 24 hour hacking event using the great collection of web tools , services and API’s from Yahoo Developer Network and other API’s …

If you would like to participate , register for the event here .

Yahoo Developer Network states that

“Due to the limited size of the venue, we will be reviewing applications for attendance and giving preference to those we believe will best be able to contribute to the design or development of a hack at the event. You could be hacking individually or in groups but please sign-up individually.”

There are 2 kinds of tickets

  • Tech Talks Ticket for people interested in attending only the presentation .
  • Hacker Ticket for people to attend both the presentationa nd the hacking event .
